ShoppeGenie requires a web host with PHP 4.0 or higher and mySQL 3.23 or higher. You must be able to FTP files and change file permissions to use the system. The files themselves require about 1150 KB of space, minus the database.

2. Hosting account must have:
   1. PHP 4+, mySQL, phpMyAdmin
3. Mal's account - Free of Premium. To determine which one you'll need take a look at the follwoing pages:

   2. If you have your own Merchant Account be sure it's listed and can be used with Mal's Shopping Cart . Check here: http://www.mals-e.com/processors.php
      - using a merchant account requires the Premium account.
   3. What type of shipping will you need? Here are the options offered in the free version - basic shipping options. Real time calculators from UPS, USPS and FedEx require the Premium account.
      
4. The inventory control feature also requires the Mals-E Remote Call feature. Therefore, inventory control and sales storage through ShoppeGenie will not be automated on any web site that uses third party payment systems that do not utilize this feature, which include but are not limited to LinkPoint, Mirapay, Netbanx, Nochex, PayByCheck and PSIGate.
